Badges & Patches

I was wondering if anyone could suggest a use for these?

Years ago it was thought these badges & patches would be a good idea, initially as a patch to be sewn onto shorts but I was wondering if anyone else had any ideas?

Clothing other than shorts is a NO because we offer quality embroidered garments..

Let me know what you think so it can be put forward to the exec committee..

Grading Success -

Congratulations to everyone who passed grading this weeks, it was by far the most successful assessment we've ever held - proving what we've been doing is working!

We held 78 examinations on Saturday 16th of August, assessments ranged from 1st Khan (White) through to 9th Khan (Brown & Green) it was a long but very rewarding day climaxing in a brutal two hour examination for Daisy & Josh who achieved 7th Khan (Brown and White) followed by 4 hours for Lauren who retook every grade under exam condition to achieve the highest award bestowed onto a junior.

I'm very proud to call you my students and I'm looking forward to your continuation and development in Muay Thai.

The Photos show four of our youngest participants aged just 4 & 5yrs!

Telford on Sea!

What a great day out at Barmouth, we left early this morning and arrived to some lovely blustery weather!

After a few games on the beach and some sand dune surfing we went for lunch in the town!

What a great day - looking forward to Friday where we head up the long mynd....

Yokkao #10 & #11

We are very happy to announce that TTB will be going to the show..

This quite frankly is the biggest show the UK has ever seen, the calibre of fighters is simply world class and anyone who has even a remote interest in Muay Thai needs to be attending this event - In the Muay Thai World this equates to the Football World Cup final being held at your own football club..

We have already purchased 12 tickets for the show and early reports are coming in of a sellout show. If you would like to come with us please contact your instructor ASAP... The first 12 seated tickets sold for £30 each -  I may be able to get more tickets but the clock is ticking..

Oh almost forgot  - this will be two shows in one starting at 2pm with Yokkao #10 followed by Yokkao #11 straight after...

Just look at some of the line up :-

Executive Committee

The Telford Thai Boxing Executive Committee makes all the decisions made within the club, every penny spent is passed, every trip & event is cleared by the committee before going forward.

The committee is made up of instructors, parents, students and professional people such as police officers and paramedics -  all have a vested interesting in steering the club into a brighter future.

We decided to refresh the committee, we elected a new chairman and have a great representation from every class in our club.

The new committee consists of the following people :-

1) Kru Gareth - Chairman
2) Kru Matt
3) Stephen Thomas
4) David Taylor
5) Jen Farrell
6) Lee McCarthy
7) Jonathan Clarke
8) Karl Lans
9) Ryan Walsh
10) Damien Langley
11) Ben Smith
12) Stuart Whiston

The committee will be meeting once a month (1st Tuesday of each month) to discuss issues surrounding the club, we invite all members of the club to put suggestions forward to any member of the committee to be discussed as any other business (AOB).

Bushcraft...

Last weekend a group of brave TTB kids headed into the woods to learn bushcraft skills.. We worked hard to create amazing bivouacs (Emergency Shelters) - we made Swiss Arrows and learned how to make pitfall traps..

To finish off the day the kids ate a picnic in one of their creations - Oh and built a great rope swing ;-)

note - all the material used for this was windfall - no trees were damaged.

Paracord Creations

Another one of our holiday school activities, we taught all the kids how to make survival bracelets using Paracord (the stuff that attaches you to a parachute) - we did several styles including names such as Sharks Tooth & Cobra Hitch.. 3 miles of Paracord later its fair to say that all of the kids had a great time!

We Love The Crocky Trail...

As part of our very successful kids holiday club we travelled to chester on the club minibus to complete the Crocky Trail - I think it is fair to say that everyone had a great time getting muddy, clambering over obstacles, crossing streams and sliding down huge slides.
